My little darlings

Trying to get a photo of these 2 together is no easy task. Isabeli wants to run around the whole entire time and I have to bribe Ethan for a few minutes of his "handsomeness". I do love a few of the ones I was able to get, but I so wish I could have a magic wand to freeze time and place them in the position I wanted so I could take as many as I would like. Wouldn't that be AWESOME?

Baseball season is starting for Ethan. So we chopped off his hair yesterday. :) He hates the hair brush... so less stress for the 2 of us! :)

More secret...

    Here are a few images from the secret workshop. I have tons of them, but have been catching up with work and personal stuff since I got back, so I had to limit the amount of images I proofed. :( I had a super fun time and couldn't possibly describe how awesome it was with words. Maybe if I let out a "WOOHOOO"!!!!??? :)

What a weekend! :)

Baby models needed

Not sure how sucessful I will be on my search, but here it goes. No Slippy Hair Clippy is coming out with a new product and for those shots I need some baby girls up to 1 year old. Lots of hair, or maybe just a few... please contact me the sooner the better!

Disbelief

It's overwhelming to me to look back and realize that in just one short year my little dream of a business grew as much as it did. This time last year I had only 2 wonderful, and ever so encouraging, clients who made me believe that my work was great. Just this morning while doing some bookeeping, I counted 42 files! Not including my commercial work. These clients are not single session clients either, they are faithful and really love the images I am able to capture for them. They are proud to have some huge prints/canvases of their images displayed throughout their homes. And, so am I! I also have clients who I have photographed 3 times already this past year... in the short time I have been in business, that is HUGE. Needless to say, I am over the moon about the growth of my photography business. I have done shoots in Virginia (thanks Shan!), as well as in my home country (Brazil), and plan on traveling even more in the future. It is a little hard right now with my daugher, Bela, being so young, but with the help of my supporting husband... there is nothing holding me back. I just LOVE what I do and I am so blessed and lucky to be able to call this my work.

Every now and then I receive e-mails from other photographers and they are so sweet! Thank you! I am no expert, I never went to school to study photography, and I was never graded/criticized by any teacher on my art. All I know I learned by reading, networking and practicing. But still, I do LOVE to help anyone who asks me. I hide nothing! There is no secret in what I do. My talent can't be stolen from me... unless you are Sylar. LOL So if you like my work and want to ask me a question, please do! I promise you I will answer to the best of my knowledge. :)

Little Hannah Montana

Not only does she look like her, she also portrays young Hannah (Miley Cyrus) on the hit Disney show Hannah Montana.

Ryan is perhaps best known for her role in the 2006 action comedy Zoom, with Tim Allen and Courtney Cox. In it she played Cindy Collins, the 6 year old girl with super strength, and in 2007 she was nominated for a young artist award for her role. Ryan has the distinction of being the youngest actor ever to be motioned captured for the Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg film Monster House.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with her for the newest No slippy Hair Clippy catalog shot in beautiful Santa Barbara,CA. What a sweetheart!

There were many (did I say many?) beautiful shots and I just could not decide which to post here... I am so exausted. I probably didn't pick my best ones...but here are a few. Annie, Jodi, Jess, Rick, Ryan and my dear friend (and assistant for the day) Barbie, THANK YOU so much for the awesome day. It was glorious! :) I just know you will love these!

For the carrousel shots I had Ryan's mom and dad holding my back so I wouldn't fall off. Lol! I was getting so dizzy!!

   

Ryan is currently in studio filming the pilot for another new hit Disney tv show. Way to go girly!

Happy Valentine's day!

I hope you all have a wonderful day with lots of hugs and kisses from your loved ones.

We normally don't give each other gifts on v-day, but my hubby decided I deserved this VERY nice one today:

I must admit I am still having blackberry withdraws though. :( But I sure am stoked... even though I am a little more dangerous on the roads now! ;) He tried to convince me I NEEDED one for the longest time now. I think he got tired of waiting for me to decide... lol!

But that was not the best gift he got me. I am a sentimental person! I love the things that would pass unoticed by so many. I was going through some old stuff and found something that brought tears to my eyes. I swear I have the most wonderful man!

These are: the receipt for my application to SBCC when I returned to the US in 2000 and the receipt for the tux rental for our wedding. Awww!
